Electrical Distributors, Inc. (EDI) is pleased to annouce that we have entered into a definitive merger agreement with Shealy Electrical Wholesalers effective January 2012.
For over sixty five years, Shealy Electrical has been committed to providing professional distribution throughout the electrical industry. Shealy has 11 branches that provide a wide range of electrical components and solutions for the Construction, Utility, Industrial OEM-MRO, and Automation markets throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Shealy will support EDI in continuing to grow our vision as an independent entity, under the EDI brand and culture. In legal terminology, EDI will be a “wholly-owned subsidiary” of Shealy Electrical Wholesalers.
After much deliberation, Shealy Electrical and EDI have both decided to be members of Affiliated Distributors moving forward in 2012.
Joining forces with Shealy will give us the opportunity to leverage each other’s strengths and move even faster towards our long term vision. For EDI, our vision will remain the same: continually improve and deliver exceptional experiences that exceed expectations. This acquisition will allow us to continue to do just that.
