Residential Corner Focus: EasyHeat Warm Tiles®
Warm Tiles electric floor warming systems by EasyHeat provide economical, energy-efficient warmth under tile, stone, laminates, and engineered floating wood floors. The systems install quickly in both new construction and remodeling projects of any size or shape.
Recently, electrician Kirby Fry of J.R. Ritchie in Landis, installed a Warm Tiles system in the kitchen, craft room, and master bath of a new home. “It installed really easy,” he said. “I like the low profile of this line of floor heat and the fact that you don’t have to loop the ends. It runs all the way out to one end instead of having to come all the way back to the thermostat, which makes it a lot easier to install. The metal strips keep it a low profile and make minor adjustments simple.”
“The installation only took several hours and went flawlessly,” said Kasey Gabriel, owner of Gabriel Richards Homes in Charlotte. “One of the most attractive features to the warming system is that the overall height is around 3/16 inch, so transitioning from hardwood to tile is much smoother.”
“Another advantage I was attracted to is the energy efficiency of Warm Tiles,” said Gabriel. “All of the homes that I build are Energy Star rated, so finding a product that is energy conscious was a bonus. I am fortunate that I work with an electrical contractor that finds these advantages as important as I do.”
J.R. Ritchie recently started installing the product, Kirby said. “By doing so, we keep more things in house and, if there’s a problem, there are less people to go back to. We’re standing behind it.”
EasyHeat (now in stock at EDI) offers one of the strongest warranties in the industry and its floor warming systems are backed by the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.
